An animation I created to spread the excellence of Japanese tea produced in Kagoshima, which is not widely known to the world.

I was involved in the production as a 2D artist and basically used traditional draw-on-paper techniques.
From on-site research to the final completion, it was quite an ambitious project, but I really enjoyed the challenge of creating it.

During the research, I thought about the Japanese spirit of “wabi-sabi”, and learned how the enjoyment of tea changes depending on the type of tea leaves and the difference in brewing methods. Additionally, I was amazed to find out that Kagoshima tea is produced through a unique method that utilizes close collaboration between human power and agricultural machinery.
